Well,
another show has come and gone and all went well. The judges
were upbeat and seemed to enjoy the quality of horses we have
here in the Inland Northwest and those who came from out of
the area. A lot of compliments were passed on, and other then
a major wind factor and some rain....well that is the Spokane
area....unpredictable they say!!
The
Barn dinner and the Powerline Breakfast were a hit as always
and we appreciate the ability to sit and rest for a moment and
enjoy a wonderful meal...thanks to the Irby's. All of those
volunteers who did show up and helped out, are the staples of
the show. Without the people to run the gates and paddock and
office...there would be no show. We were slim...but many
thanks to the Shriners for their participation. As the
beneficiary of a percentage of the proceeds, they were
tireless in their smiling faces with the win pictures and
stood in the blowing grit and worked the gates and gave out
ribbons.....still smiling. (I think secretly they love the
chance to help and be in the photos!!!)
So, for
another year keep riding those ponies and get ready to do it
again!! It is your club, and the future is in your
hands.....the show is 6 months of preparation and 4 days of
excitement and fun. It cannot survive without the help of
many people. Please get involved and let's make the 41st
Annual Show as fun and successful as the 40th.
Thanks
again to all who did help, without you I would have......just
run and hid!! These shows cannot be completed without a group
effort......thanks to my group!!!
Sincerely,
Chris
